Travelcare sign new Manchester United deal

TRAVELCARE? Manchester United&#039s official travel partner ? has signed a further three year deal with the club and launched their service under a new "MU Travel" banner.

TRAVELCARE? Manchester United&#039s official travel partner ? has signed a further three year deal with the club and launched their service under a new "MU Travel" banner.

The 13-year relationship between the world&#039s biggest football club and the Co-operative Group&#039s principal travel business has grown considerably in the past five years since Travelcare became responsible for managing the day-to-day travel requirements of the team and club in addition to its duties of providing supporters&#039 overseas travel packages and popular "Dream Breaks" accommodation and match ticket packages .

The service now includes handling all team and day-to-day business travel; running the official United supporters&#039 travel club, including travel to all European and other overseas fixtures; and offering special benefits and discounts on family holiday packages booked with Travelcare. In addition Travelcare hosts and maintains the Manchester United travel website www.manutd.com/travel.

Commenting on the new agreement, United manager Sir Alex Ferguson said: "We&#039re delighted with the new deal. Travelcare do a great job of looking after the team and the fans whenever we travel away from home.

"Because continuity has always been a big part of our success on and off the pitch at Manchester United, it is particularly good news that after 13 years working for the club, Travelcare is staying on board for another three years."
