WHILE keeping control of 5,000 singers auditioning for ITV's Pop Idol competition security supervisor for the Co-operative Group, Chris Verigotta, managed to spend some time with the stars of the show.
For the second time in its series Pop Idol bosses chose New Century House, head office of the Co-op Group, as the Manchester audition venue.
Mr Verigotta (centre) is pictured with the show's presenters Ant and Dec, who told the society's staff that Manchester was the "most liked and friendly" venue they had visited this year.
