THE Co-operative Group has begun the multi-million pound conversion programme of its Alldays stores, relaunching branches across the UK.
The 600-branch Alldays chain was acquired last October and the Group has embarked on its ambitious conversion programme which will see an average of six stores relaunching under the Co-op Welcome fascia each week.
Among visitors to the stores on their relaunch days were Nottinghamshire County Cricket captain Jason Gallian and a number of Nottingham Forest FC players visiting the Trent Bridge branch while television football pundit Ally McCoist was delighted with his free flowers when he called for his morning paper at the Bishopton store near Glasgow.
