MIDLANDS Co-op Travel has increased its shop portfolio with the acquisition of premises in Weoley Castle, Birmingham.
The new shop brings the business&#039s number of retail outlets to 98 and strengthens its presence in south Birmingham. It was acquired from Aeroscope, a specialist tour operator and retailer.
Ken Smith, Development and Services Manager for Midlands Co-op Travel, said: "We&#039ve been looking to expand in south Birmingham for some time and are pleased that the transfer went smoothly. The premises have been re-branded and will be refurbished to mirror our other branches.`
The original five-strong team of Aeroscope Travel staff have transferred to Midlands Co-op Travel, and Wendy Stone has retained her position as shop manager.
