The annual Ohio Fair Trade Expo will take place on Saturday, October 22nd at John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio, from 9 AM to 4 PM. In recent years the event has featured seminars, films, and organizing on Fair Trade. Some highlights of the day this year include:
- Keynote Speakers Pedro Ascencio (Member of Las Colinas coffee cooperative in El Salvador) and Rink Dickinson (Co-Founder of Equal Exchange) - LEARN MORE !
- A fair trade marketplace with more than 20 vendors from across the region from 9 AM to 4 PM (there is no admission charge for the marketplace!)
- A program for Girl Scouts co-sponsored by the Northeast Ohio Girl Scouts that includes the opportunity for scouts to earn a fair trade patch. Learn more here !
