The International Co-operative Alliance is pleased to welcome the Nigerian Co-operative Multipurpose Society limited (NNPC CMS) as an Associate Member.

The NNPC CMS comprises staff from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)

Its objectives are to encourage member saving, sell consumers and producers goods, member loans, acquire land for development for housing or industrial purposes, set up small-scale producers, industries, and invest in stock markets.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the state oil corporation through which the federal government of Nigeria regulates and participates in the country’s petroleum industry. NNPC has 12 Subsidiaries (SBUs) which handle all the functions of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria especially from Production, Refining, Marketing and Retails of Oil & Gas product.

NNPC CMS represents 6,545 individual members. In 2012, they had 30 employees of which 12 were women.
