I’ve been writing primarily about the Blueprint for a Co-operative Decade in recent posts. That will continue to be my main theme, as we don’t want anyone to fall into the all-too-frequent trap of believing, because you’ve come up with a great idea, that you’ve actually done something. Our real work is ahead. The ICA Board agreed some key initiatives for this year, to begin to implement the Blueprint, as I reported earlier.

Today, though, I want to say thank you … thank you to those ICA members that have made contributions to our Blueprint Fund. ICA attempts to be a good steward of the resources our members entrust to us through their annual membership subscriptions. Those resources, while essential for ICA’s core work, are modest when compared to the bold vision of the Blueprint. While we have reordered our priorities to advance the Blueprint’s objectives, our normal operating budget could never make a serious dent in the Blueprint’s demands.

For that reason, we have established a Blueprint Fund. This fund is a successor to the International Year of Co-operatives Fund that allowed us to draft the Blueprint in the first place, and to undertake initiatives that contributed to a successful International Year. The Blueprint Fund is dedicated to underwriting the initiatives necessary to achieve the vision of the Blueprint.

So our deepest gratitude to the following contributors:
