Odu’A Cooperative Alliance become the ICA’s second Nigerian member.

Odu’A Cooperative Alliance (OCA) is the apex organisation for the state-level co-operative federations in the six states of Southwest Nigeria (including Lagos). Its previous name was Coop Union of Western Nigeria (CUWN). Its aims are to:

 •           Provide a platform for their members to exchange ideas and update each other.

•           Co-operative development for members.

•           Co-operative education for members and staff.

•           To participate in international co-operative affairs.

 Odu’A represents 6,280 individual members through its 7 member societies who have 352 co-operative members. In 2011, they had 5 employees (of which 2 were women). Their members had 54 employees of which 4 were women. In 2011, their turnover was NGN 71,350,132 (CHF 424,354). The turnover of their members was NGN 96,600,000 (CHF 574,527).
