As part of Al Jazeera’s series on co-operatives, Sonia Gallego reports on a grassroots movement in the north of England that provides an alternative.

Its goal: to provide fairness for both buyer and supplier. And since it opened 15 years ago, the Unicorn Grocery store has turned out profits and fair business practices as well.
