What a wonderful, short documentary “Corner Plot” is! Watching Charlie Koiner, almost 90 years old, farming and selling produce from his one acre lot will make your heart happy. It’s the perfect film to rejuvenate your spirits after a long week.
The joy continues with “Truck Farm.” Part documentary, part musical, part animation, the film is a fun drive, with occasional bumps. We follow along as a truck farm is conceived, becomes successful – even selling to Marion Nestle, experiences theft, and discovers and inspires other alternative means of farming. Who says you don’t have room to grow food? Do you have a rooftop, a truck bed, or even a large window? Join the “Truck Farm” family by thinking outside the box when growing veggies.
“Corner Plot” and “Truck Farm” will be shown on Friday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. Space is limited, so make sure to come early.
