Drummer and CEO of the Co-operative Group UK, Peter Marks has joined with seven colleagues from across The Co-operative including food, finance and the head office legal department to form band – Angel Square. Today Angel Square launch their Christmas single – their version of the Take That hit ‘Greatest Day’. All proceeds go to Co-op charity of the Mencap, raising money for young people with a learning disability.
So far this year Co-op Group members have given £4.5m to the charity.
The song is available for download from Friday, 9 December, from iTunes and all good digital music stores.
A co-operative band in the No 1 position of the UK charts would be a really great way to start the International Year of Co-ops!
