Central England Co-op to open new store in Derbyshire village

The store, in Calow, opens on 23 August

Next week sees the opening of Central England Co-op’s new store in the village of Calow, Derbyshire.

The store, based in a former pub in Top Lane, opens on 23 August and will feature eco-friendly fridges and lighting. Its range includes fresh fruit and veg, in-store bakery, chilled beers and wines, fresh and frozen products, Irresistible product ranges, a Costa Coffee machine and food to go.

It will also offer Lottery, Paypoint, Collect Plus, foreign currency and a customer car park, as well as a defibrillator and an outdoor seating area.

Store manager Gary Bonsall said: “We are now only days away from the official opening of our new store in Calow and we cannot wait for everyone to see it.

“The store will soon be packed out with everything from everyday items to a whole host of special treats.

“All that is left is for customers to come down on Friday for the official opening, say hello and take a look around.”

The Top Lane Co-operative Food Store will be open from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
