Midcounties Co-op Travel gets star treatment

‘We’re delighted to have been recognised with the award and with the stars named in our honour’

Two Midcounties Co-operative Travel branches have had stars named after them as part of their prizes for scooping top sales awards from Jet2Holidays.

The package break provider has changed the names of stars Hercules and Aquila to ‘The Midcounties Co-operative Travel Walsall’ and ‘The Midcounties Co-operative Travel Derby’.

The awards were presented at the annual Jet2holidays VIP Conference for independent travel agents held at the Gloria Golf Resort in Turkey.

The Co-operative Travel team in Walsall enjoyed double success, receiving a Top Seller award for Jet2holidays with flights from Birmingham Airport, as well as the ‘Best Overall Branch’ in the southern region. It’s the second year running that the Walsall branch has received these accolades.

Co-operative Travel in Derby also scooped a Top Seller award for the second consecutive year, thanks to its strong sales performance for Jet2holidays packages from East Midlands Airport.

Natalie Turner, head of branches at The Midcounties Co-operative Travel, said: “We take great pride in being able to offer our customers holidays to an extensive range of destinations on their doorstep, and Jet2holidays’ offerings play a vital role in that.

“We’re delighted to have been recognised with the award and with the stars named in our honour. To win two years in a row is testament to the continued hard work of all of our teams.”
