Italian retailer Coop Alleanza 3.0 has extended its range of ecommerce services by launching a home delivery service.

A member of Coop Italia, the retailer will be offering customers an online choice of 10,000 products, including 3,000 fresh products.

The online portal, www.easycoop.com, will enable consumers making orders of over €50 to arrange home deliveries for €2.90 or more, depending on when they want to receive the products. The platform is currently available to customers in the Greater Rome area but the co-op aims to extend it to other parts of the country as well.

The EasyCoop site will be accessible from any device and will give customers the option to make orders at any time choosing delivery slots. Once orders are placed, customers are notified of the delivery time, the name of the driver and an identification code via text 30 minutes before the actual delivery.

For this project Coop Alleanza is working with Milkman, an Italian home delivery enterprise. The portal was developed and managed by Digitail, a subsidiary of Coop Alleanza.

Digitail’s CEO Andrea Zocchi said the new platform was designed to provide customised services for customers who shop online.

Antonio Perini, CEO of Milkman, added: “The union between Milkman’s digital expertise and the extraordinary quality with which Coop Alleanza 3.0 takes care of its customers and products, will result in an online shopping experience that goes beyond the highest expectations, for a trend that already exponentially increases month by month.

“With the utmost simplicity shoppers will take control of their orders and follow them step-by-step. It’s a brand-new way of living your online shopping.”
