Coffee co-op Revolver has been recognised for the second year in a row.
Last year, its Arabica Brazil Micro Lot coffee was awarded one star. This year, its Fairtrade Ethiopia Yirgacheffe coffee was recognised, and the Brazilian coffee won again.
Of the Ethiopian coffee, the judges said: We really like this coffee… it has an immediate nutty refreshing flavour… a well-balanced coffee, well made and we unanimously and immediately agreed it deserves one star”
John Boyle, chair of Revolver, said: “It’s the people behind the scenes who make the magic happen, the credit goes to the farmers and their co-operatives who deeply care about the product and our
co-operative colleagues in stores, who make everything simple for shoppers.”
Spain’s Olivarera La Purisima was granted a two-star rating for its virgin oil, El Empiedro.
