The food stores, under The Co-operative brand, have opened in Burghley Centre, Bourne, and Littleport, Ely. The Bourne outlet was a replacement for the nearby Rainbow food store, while Ely was the first new store opened in two years, which has created 60 jobs. In Bedford, the society opened a travel agency within the Beales department store, which has created four jobs and is the third store to be opened this year.
