Milk farmers are in ferment all over the country. They are protesting against their exploitation by the so-called middlemen.
They are seeking to pressure the govt to heed their voice and put paid to what they call a black business in the white liquid they work so hard to produce.
They are feeling especially sore about the fact that the govt is doing nothing to stop not only the highly dubious business that goes on in the dairy field but also the widespread misuse of the idea of cooperative in perpetrating the whole illegal business.
They maintain that dishonest and unscrupulous elements from the so-called cooperative societies and thus manage to run their illegal business without being punished.
Milkmen are firm in demanding two things: their liberation from the dairy mafia and a fair payment for their produce.
