Midlands Co-op Travel buys new branch

MIDLANDS Co-op Travel has increased its shop portfolio with the acquisition of premises in Weoley Castle, Birmingham.
The new shop brings the business's number of retail outlets to 98 and strengthens its presence in south Birmingham. It was acquired from Aeroscope, a specialist tour operator and retailer.
Ken Smith, Development and Services Manager for Midlands Co-op Travel, said: "We've been looking to expand in south Birmingham for some time and are pleased that the transfer went smoothly. The premises have been re-branded and will be refurbished to mirror our other branches.`
The original five-strong team of Aeroscope Travel staff have transferred to Midlands Co-op Travel, and Wendy Stone has retained her position as shop manager.
