The Global News Hub is a collection of articles, features and opinion submitted by co-operatives and co-operators around the world. We aim to build a picture of co-operative enterprise and initiatives, plus provide a platform for co-operators to engage with each other.

Created and managed by Co-operative Press in the UK, the multi-lingual website automatically displays in your language and shows content from your country/region — if you want to add content from your region click here for more information.

As well as text, the website hosts picture, audio and video content. In our documents section you can also find a wide range of resources such as presentations, annual reports and academic papers.

About Co-operative News

Co-operative News is the oldest Co-operative Newspaper in the world — and also, arguably, the oldest democratically controlled paper. We celebrated 140 years of continuous publication in September 2011.

The Co-operative Press Limited, based in the UK, publishes the printed Co-operative News (for a British audience) and manages the Global News Hub. The Press is a secondary federal co-operative society owned by other co-operative societies and sympathetic organisations.

The Press Board has stated its determination that co-operators continue to need an independent source of information to enable them to ensure accountability and participate fully in the affairs of their co-operatives and the wider movement.
