It was recently reported in the ICMIF news that ICMIF member, Equidad Compañía de Seguros SA, Honduras, had won the “Inspirational Company” award at the “BIZZ 2011 – Business Excellence Awards”. We are delighted to announce the success of another of ICMIF’s South American members, Río Uruguay Seguros, Argentina, at the same ceremony that took place in Orlando, USA in June of this year.
The award received by Río Uruguay Seguros was to recognise their business excellence. Río Uruguay Seguros was the first insurance company in Argentina to receive ISO 9001 certification for Quality Management for General Insurance.
The BIZZ awards are organised by the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB) and their aim is to encourage worldwide business development. WORLDCOB’s awards criteria include business leadership, quality management systems, quality of products and services, innovation and creativity, social responsibility and awards received.
This award is in addition to the “Century International Quality ERA Award (CQE)”, that Río Uruguay Seguros won in March of this year for quality of management as reported here on ICMIF news.
Juan Carlos Lucio Godoy, President of Río Uruguay Seguros said, “These awards make us very proud and bring valuable recognition for the work we are doing in terms of quality management”, he adds, “These achievements, without doubt, confirm the definition of the objectives of business improvements as the firm base of sustainable growth”.
