A final call has been made for creative co-operators around the world to submit entries for the Coop'Art contest.
Organised by the International Co-operative Alliance, the initiaitve is looking for artists aged 16-35 who are passionate about co-operatives and have an artistic flare. The theme of the contest is to create a piece of art, whether this is film, audio or pictorially, inspired by the Co-operative Principles.
The competition, which closes on May 31st, offers a top prize of USD 3,000 along with a trip to Manchester for the Co-operatives United conference, where the winning entries will be displayed.
The three categories open for entries are music, video and photography. The aim is for entrants to create a song, a video and a photograph that promotes the principles of co-operation in a way attractive to young people to raise their awareness about the co-operative movement worldwide. There will be three winners for each category of the competition.
