“This year’s Eastern Conference for Workplace Democracy will be held July 26-28 on the campus of Drexel University in Philadelphia. We’re in the process of recruiting presenters and proposals for panels, caucuses, or other sessions, and we’d love to hear from you! click here to submit a proposal today!

“The deadline to submit proposals is March 15 and we expect to confirm presenters by the middle of April. We are currently planning for four or five tracks, but the final lineup will depend on the proposals we receive from people like you:

  • Co-op 101 – intro and start ups
  • Movement Building
  • Strengthening our co-ops/management
  • Sustaining and Consolidating Growth & Shedding Old Infrastructure
  • Being a Democratic Business

“Please note that we only have a limited number of workshops available. We will prioritize the voices of women, people of color, people with disabilities and other members of groups that have been historically marginalized within our movement. We appreciate all proposals! We are working with a modest budget and can neither waive registration fees nor subsidize travel. We do, however, have some capacity to help presenters and participants meet financial needs through a sliding scale registration cost. Please let us know if the expense of attending will be a challenge for you. Questions? Comments? Please contact ECWD content coordinator Andrew McLeod at [email protected]
